The most powerful patent office in the world: the US Patent Office
The US Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) was created by George Washington and Benjamin Franklin in 1793 as a means to stimulate commerce in America.
Little did they know that the US Patent system was the foundation that would ultimately create the most prosperous nation in the world!
A promise from government
Simply put: "Share your inventions and creative knowledge with other Americans and in return we will give you a legal monopoly for 20 years to make, use, and sell your invention."
After 200 years the US patent system has become the single most important institution fostering invention in the history of mankind. The result has been a astounding advancement of science and society.
US inventions and patents are seen everywhere in the world: transportation (trains, cars and airplanes), electronics (radio and television), medicine (vaccines, organ replacement, preventive medicine) computers, software, and of course...the internet. Over 7 million patents have issued since the first one (a patent for processing peat moss).
There is no end to the number of creative concepts that have been born in the US. To secure a US patent is to become a permanent part of American and world history.
We want to see you become a part of history.
The darling of the world
The US patent system is admired by people and companies of all nations. Inventors from all over the world file patent applications in America. There's very good reason too.
You see, US patents are highly respected and honored by businesses. The market in the US lends itself to the continual exploration and development of new concepts and literally "creating the future". It's no wonder that America has become one of the most admired and at times, envied, nations in the world.
Are you ready to become a part of history? We hope so!
We're expecting your patent to issue soon...
